World Cleanup Day

The National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) will this year (for the second year running) join the rest of the World in commemorating World Cleanup Day on 18th September 2021.

Cleanup activities have been planned to take place in Lusaka (the area around the national heroes stadium and across Mandevu Market), Kabwe (Ranchhod Hospice - Elderly People's Hospice), and Kitwe (Twashuka secondary School Recreational Ground in Chamboli) on the 18th of September 2021 around 08:30 hrs as we team up with various stakeholders.

World Cleanup Day is the largest worldwide cleanup event of the year, we will give the planet a big cleanup together with more than 180 countries.

The goal is to clean up as much litter as possible! And above all, to get more valuable information about the type of waste on the streets and in the environment and its origin.
