President of the National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) Mr. Alfred Foloko has expressed condolences to the President of Tanzania Olympic Committee Mr. Gulam Abdulla Rashid and the people of Tanzania over the passing of Republican President Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.
According to Mr. Foloko, it is with great pain and sorrow that NOCZ has learned the news about the demise of Tanzania’s Republican President.
“Death is always a time of great sorrow, and on behalf of everyone here at the National Olympic Committee and Commonwealth Games Association of Zambia, I want to let you know that we are deeply saddened by his death,” He said.
“Africa and the world at large has lost one of the most competent leaders, a personality of global scale. His professional and life experience is an example of human dignity, strong will, and commitment to the people of the United Republic of Tanzania and Africa, and the legacy he leaves behind shall continue to inspire generations,’’ Foloko added.
This information is contained in a letter of condolences sent to Tanzania Olympic Committee President Mr. Gulam Abdulla Rashid earlier today.
