The National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) has reaffirmed its strong support for initiatives that build skills, raise awareness, and protect athletes from doping risks.
During the UNESCO Fund for the Elimination of Doping in Sport Trainer of Trainers seminar in Lusaka from March 18 to 20, 2026, NOCZ Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi emphasized that everyone plays a role in maintaining clean sport.
He encouraged participants to engage fully, share their knowledge, and apply these lessons within their organizations and communities.
“Be ambassadors of clean sport and champions of integrity,” Kambikambi said, adding that the programme is critical in strengthening collective efforts to promote fair, ethical, and doping-free sport.

The training seminar, organised by the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts, brought together participants from key institutions, including the Drug Enforcement Commission and other stakeholders in the anti-doping ecosystem.
Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Elvis Nkandu, MP, accompanied by the permanent Secretary Kangwa Chileshe, Acting Director of Sport Gibson Muyaule, and other officials, visited and interacted with participants, and urged them to take the training seriously.
The minister noted that participants are vital change-makers in sensitising the public on the dangers of doping and called on them to be firm and consistent in spreading the message.
The seminar covered key topics, including pre-testing procedures, an introduction to anti-doping, the global anti-doping landscape, and identifying key stakeholders and their roles within the anti-doping ecosystem, alongside interactive group work sessions.
NOCZ continues to champion initiatives that empower stakeholders with the knowledge and tools necessary to protect athletes and uphold the integrity of sport in Zambia and beyond.
