National Olympic Committee of Zambia (NOCZ) Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi commended the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Confederation of Sports (NIF) for organizing a two-day partners’ meeting from 22 to 23 September 2025 in Lusaka to share ideas, exchange updates, and review the implementation of NIF programmes.

Kambikambi says it is through such meetings that NIF partners get to have an opportunity to evaluate progress, exchange knowledge, and identify new opportunities for collaboration that drive sustainable sports development.

The meeting attracted eleven NIF partners, including: National Olympic Committee of Zambia, Judo Association of Zambia, African Union Sports Council (AUSC) Region 5, NOWSPAR, Response Network, Sport in Action, National Olympic Committee of Malawi, and Zimbabwe, Judo Malawi, Judo Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe Volleyball. Each partner was represented by two people.
NIF Senior Program Advisor, Susanne Hvidsten, disclosed that the sessions focused on discussing various outcomes of the partnership and exploring strategies to enhance delivery and impact across all programmes.
Hvidsten reaffirmed NIF’s commitment to fostering strong and long-lasting partnerships, adding that the organisation has expressed optimism that continued collaboration with its partners would further strengthen programme delivery, ensuring that sports development initiatives reach and benefit more communities.
