National Olympic Committee of Zambia president Alfred Foloko, in the company of Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi, had the honour of meeting International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Kirsty Coventry at the Olympic House in Lausanne, Switzerland, to foster cooperation and strengthen opportunities available for support and development.

The meeting further highlighted already existing programs being undertaken between the IOC and NOCZ under the umbrella of the Olympic Solidarity.

While at the Olympic House, the Zambian flag flew next to the IOC flag, symbolising the presence of the Olympic president of Zambia. As per Zambian tradition, President Foloko presented presents to President Coventry as a gesture of welcoming them at the Olympic House.

Meanwhile, President Alfred Foloko and Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi later went to have more meetings with IOC officials to focus on areas such as the Olympic Values Education Programme, Athletes Commission Programmes & Development, the Structure of the IOC and International Sports System, Ethics & Compliance, Olympafrica, Olympism 365, and the program of 2025-2028.

The meetings are part of an ongoing collaboration between the IOC and its member NOCs to promote Olympism and address shared challenges.
