The Commonwealth Games Association of Zambia is hosting the Commonwealth Sport eqUIP Workshop, taking place from October 6 to 10, 2025, in Lusaka.
The week-long workshop has brought together interns and their supervisors from across the Commonwealth countries.

CGA Zambia Secretary General Boniface Kambikambi said the country is delighted to host Team 19 and Team 20, describing the event as a proud moment for Zambia to unite colleagues, friends, and partners from the wider Commonwealth family.
“CGA Zambia is proud to open its doors to you, and we hope that your stay will be both comfortable and fruitful,” Kambikambi said.
“As you engage in discussions, exchange ideas, and share experiences, we trust that this workshop will be a valuable opportunity for growth and collaboration.”
He emphasized the importance of the orientation workshop in setting the tone for collective success, urging participants to take time to understand their roles, responsibilities, and the resources available to them.
“This orientation will provide a critical foundation for our work together, ensuring that you are aligned, informed, and equipped to achieve the intended goals,” he added.
Kambikambi highlighted that the eqUIP Internship Program, under Commonwealth Sport, has played a vital role in building the skills and capacities of young professionals not only in Zambia but across the Commonwealth.
He noted that the success stories of past interns stand as a testament to the program’s effectiveness in nurturing talent and fostering professional growth.
“We are excited to continue this journey with our new cohort of interns and look forward to seeing the impact they will make,” Kambikambi said.
He further expressed gratitude to the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) for granting Zambia the privilege of hosting the 2025 workshop.
Kambikambi said CGA Zambia is honoured to have been given this opportunity and remains committed to making it a memorable and productive experience for all delegates.
