The Badminton Association of Zambia has registered confidence in the players that are set to represent Zambia at the 2022 All Africa Senior Championships in Uganda.

The championship also famously known as Thomas and Uber Cup is scheduled to begin with the exclusive continental competition from the 14-18th February 2022 before moving to the Ugandan International Challenge event which attracts players from all over the globe.

Association General Secretary Juma Muwowo has confirmed that the association is targeting to send 10 players to compete in the continental competition while 2 players from the 10 will further progress to compete in the Ugandan International Challenge.

Mr. Muwowo disclosed that the association has been holding a non-residential camp for the players due to insufficient resources and a technical team has been put in place to help the athletes prepare adequately for the upcoming games.

He said he is confident that the athletes will put up a good performance given their record of consistently winning games in the past.

The General Secretary further said the championships present an opportunity for Zambia to improve its World ranking and qualify for the mixed teams' competition for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.

The games are the last qualifying event for the mixed team competition for the Commonwealth Games.

Seeing how much effort goes into training, even with limited resources and a non-residential camp, reminds me of the dedication needed in competitive sports. It’s fascinating to track how their performance here could influence Zambia’s world ranking and even help them qualify for the Commonwealth Games mixed team event. I was reading about similar high-stakes environments and came across an interesting overview on aviator game 1win—though it’s a game from 1Win Uganda, the review gives a solid idea of how online platforms handle fast-paced challenges, risk, and strategy. It made me think about the parallels between sports and gaming in terms of focus, timing, and decision-making. You can check the overview there to see how online games like Aviator balance…
