NOCZ Athletes Commission Chairperson Esther Siamfuko showcases Zambian culture in China

Esther Siamfuko, the Chairperson of the Athletes Commission for the National Olympic Committee of Zambia, was recently in China for the 10th Youth Camp of the Chinese Olympic Committee.

Siamfuko, who has returned home, described the youth camp as worthwhile and educative, stating that the knowledge acquired during the camp will be used to effectively run the commission back home.

While in China, Siamfuko took part in a series of group discussions, presentations, culture showpieces, and workshops, all aimed at promoting leadership development to strengthen international collaboration among athletes' representatives.

"The Youth camp organised by the Chinese Olympic Committee was educational and worthwhile. My gratitude goes to the National Olympic Committee of Zambia for the support rendered to ensure that I was among those selected to represent Zambia.

As you all may be aware, Africa had only two representatives, and I look forward to using the knowledge gained to effectively manage our athletes' commission," Siamfuko told the NOCZ media team.

Siamfuko’s participation highlights her leadership in Zambia’s sports movement and underscores Africa’s growing influence in international sports governance.
