President Foloko also expressed appreciation to the Government of the Republic of Zambia, particularly the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts under the leadership of Hon. Elvis Nkandu MP, for its continued support and collaboration in facilitating the project. He further acknowledged the technical support provided by the Ministry of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, whose involvement in the bid evaluation process ensured adherence to national and international standards.

NOCZ Secretary General/CEO Boniface Kambikambi explained that the office project was an initiative instituted for NOCs by the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA), which selected Zambia as one of the beneficiaries of its initiative to support National Olympic Committees with the process for an improved office infrastructure. He noted that the contractor was selected through a transparent procurement process involving bid submissions and evaluations overseen by a Board-appointed commission.

Chairperson of the NOCZ Infrastructure and Projects Commission Greg Lubesha described the project as a long-awaited development that will provide a permanent operational base for the organisation. The facility is expected to offer modern spaces for meetings, training, and programme delivery, while strengthening collaboration among national sports federations, administrators, and partners.

Meanwhile, the Managing Director of ZhengTai Group (Z) Limited, Liver Tembo, assured stakeholders of the company’s commitment to delivering quality work during the construction of the headquarters.
